The Swan Point Build Process

Cleaning, Buffing, and Prepping the Molds

Every build begins with attention to the molds. They’re cleaned, buffed, and carefully prepped to ensure a flawless surface for the layup. This step sets the tone for the entire build.

Gelcoat Application

A high-quality gelcoat is sprayed into the mold, providing both protection and a clean, smooth finish. This coating not only enhances appearance but also ensures long-term resilience on the water.

Vinylester Barrier Coat

After the gelcoat, each hull receives a layer of premium vinylester barrier coat. This critical step prevents osmotic blistering and ensures flawless adhesion of the skin coat. The result is a stronger, longer-lasting finish that protects the boat from the inside out.

Structural Reinforcement

Key areas of the boat are reinforced with additional materials, ensuring rigidity, stability, and safety no matter the conditions.

Assembly & Bonding

The deck is structurally bonded to the stringer grid and glassed into the hull sides, creating a unified structure that ensures unparalleled strength and durability that you can rely on.
